While the coronavirus is continuing to spread to almost every state in the U.S. and to almost ¾ of the countries of the world, precautions are being taken state and county wide by governments and individuals to slow its spread. We believe in the precautions being taken, and we are doing our best to act in both faith and wisdom for the health and wellbeing of not only the Church but all our citizens.

In view of Gov. Tom Wolfe's recent recommendations, supported by the Executive Leadership of BIWC, we would encourage that all members, and guests who attend our services, events, and activities in our church facility wear a face mask and social distance until further notification. Even though we may not be able to meet as a congregation, please stay connected as a church family.

Additionally, we've developed a manner in which you can share your needs with us. We would love to partner with you in prayer and help in any way that we can.

1) Constant Communication

One of the most important areas during this unprecedented time is providing encouraging communication to church congregants. For over a year now, BIWC ERIE has been using a communication tool like Facebook and this website for optimized messaging. To help with congregational communication and to provide an online giving option.

2) Live Video-streaming

Currently, the U.S. government is recommending “social distancing” and not holding gatherings of more than 10 people. What does that mean for our churches and especially for smaller churches currently without this capability? We have have provided live video-streaming for the strengthening and encouragement our church family.

3) Online Giving

Currently, many Millennials born from 1981-1996(ages 24-39) don’t use a checkbook for bill-pay or giving, and the need for online giving will only increase over the coming weeks because of COVID-19.  Especially in light of our current circumstances, online giving options are certainly the wave of the future, so we would recommend that you consider various online giving options. Though there are many options available.  However, BIWC ERIE is currently working with Digi Giv, a faith-based organization. If you would like more information about giving online, click the Donate link below.

Thank you in advance for your patience as we walk through this challenging situation one day at a time while determining how best to serve our community and react missionally. We will continue to pray for God's protection over you, and as always, should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let us know.

May God bless you and keep you safe. Further updates will continue to be chronicled below, as well as our other online and social media platforms.
